Polling: Sub-county, Town & Municipal Division Youth Committees

Overview: The Electoral Commission of Uganda is conducting the polling for Youth Committees at the Sub-county, Town, and Municipal Division levels as part of the roadmap for the 2025/2026 General Elections. This is a crucial step in ensuring youth representation and participation in local governance structures.

Key Information:

Organized by: The Electoral Commission of Uganda.

What: Polling for the election of Sub-county, Town & Municipal Division Youth Committees.

When: Friday, 18th July 2025

Who: Registered youth voters within the respective Sub-counties, Towns, and Municipal Divisions.

Purpose: To elect youth leaders who will represent the interests of young people at these local government levels.

Prior Activities (Leading up to Polling Day):

Compilation of Sub-county, Town & Municipal Division SIG Registers: 8th July 2025

Nomination of Sub-county, Town & Municipal Division SIGs Committees Candidates (Older Persons; PwDs; Youth): 9th – 10th July 2025

Conduct of Candidates’ Campaign Meetings (Older Persons; PwDs and Youth): 11th – 13th July 2025

• Ensure your name appears on the voters’ register for your respective Sub-county, Town, or Municipal Division.
• Follow all guidelines and instructions issued by the Electoral Commission.
• Maintain peace and order at polling stations.
